CWA Local 7603
Our local has been active for six decades. We represent workers at Qwest, AT&T, Avaya, Lucent, The Idaho Statesman, and the Nampa Press Tribune. Our jurisdictional boundaries include the counties of Ada, Adams, Boise, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, and Washington in Idaho, and Malheur County in Oregon.
Local 7603 has grown in size during the past ten years. A merger transpired in March, 1997. This resulted in the combining of the Nampa, Caldwell and Malheur Bell Locals.
In August, 1998 we had the biggest strike since divestiture in 1983. The outcome of that labor victory was an increase in membership, some caps on overtime, wage and pension increase, retention of our health benefits, and more.
Local 7603 believes in fair pay and fair treatment for a day's work. We believe everyone deserves a fair chance or a second chance. At some time every employee needs special help. We are here to provide that assistance. We are here to maintain and grow our membership.
Local 7603 believes in America and the American worker. We are the people who built this company and this country. We believe in the American family. We support politicians who support labor.
